When our oldest child was still in his toddler years and first starting to show an interest in colors, I put together various activities and color themed sensory bins for him to pick and choose from.
We both wound up having a ton of fun with all of our color themed activities (although I only blogged a few of them at the time), and while we plan to continue that with our youngest as she starts learning them herself, I wanted to also come up with something that could easily hang on our wall.
Something that she and I, or even she and her big brother, could glance at throughout the day and have fun with while practicing those colors.
These full page color wall cards have been the perfect solution.
At first, we started with just a single card and hung it up on the fridge so that she could see it and enjoy looking through all of the pictures.
Since then, we’ve added all of them together and they have moved around our house a bit.
She is definitely going to be my hands-on learner as she does best when she can hold and explore something completely at her own pace. These cards were perfect for that.
In total, there are 10 different color cards and each one prints on a full page, making the images and colors bright, clear, and easy to see. Once we printed them off I simply laminated them so they’d hold up a bit against various forms of toddler destruction and handed them over.
We talk about each color and name them as we go but for the most part, she enjoys just looking through the cards at this point and naming the colors that she knows.
Hopefully, if you decide to grab the free printable set and hang them up in your own home and/or classroom, your little ones will enjoy them just as much as mine have.
