While learning the letters of the alphabet is easy for some children, for others it can be a struggle.
Finding ways to make it fun can help as it takes away some of the monotony that is often present with repetitively going over the various letters.
There are so many ideas out there to help you make letter learning a little bit more fun and hands-on, but if your child is currently obsessed with animals of all shapes and sizes, I’ve got the perfect idea to share with you today.
Animal alphabet flashcards!
From an anteater A to a zebra Z, you’ll find all 26 letters of the alphabet represented in this pack.

So, not only will your little learners get the opportunity to practice the letters of the alphabet, but they’ll also get the chance to learn the names of some pretty cool animals as well.
Getting them ready is super simple!
Just print the cards off, cut them out (they print four to a page just like our regular alphabet and American Sign Language alphabet flashcards), and run them through your laminator for durability.
Personally, we prefer to keep all of our flashcards together in sets so we use some metal book rings to hold each separate set and them store them together based on the subject in some plastic pencil boxes that fit very nicely on a bookshelf.
Now, you could, of course, use these just like any other flashcards, or you could print out two sets and use them as a memory matching game. You could also check out some of these live animal cams for kids and see if you can spot any of the animals on your flashcards!
Whichever one you think your little ones would enjoy the most!
