Alphabet flash cards are a fantastic way to either introduce or review the letters of the alphabet with your toddler or preschooler.
They’re easy to pull out, perfect for a quick, on the go, activity, and most kids love looking at the different pictures that are included on the cards.
Recently, we decided that it was time to update our own set of alphabet flash cards and honestly, I love the way they turned out!
Flash cards are simple.
They’re just basic cards with words, letters, or pictures on them so you might wonder what your child could actually learn from them.
Well, let me tell you, it’s more than you might think.
These alphabet flash cards, for example, can help your child learn the names of the letters of the alphabet, letter recognition and formation, letter sounds, vocabulary, and so much more.
Trace the letters with your fingers as you move through each card, name the object in the picture to work on those vocabulary skills, or practice naming the sounds for each letter and you work your way through the cards.
With big, bold letters and bright, colorful images, your little learners are sure to love them!
This set prints four to a page and make reviewing the letters of the alphabet as you learn them quick, easy, and fun.
Just print them off, cut them out, laminate them so they stand up to little hands, and they’re ready to go.
Personally, we love taking ours with us when we’re going to be out for a bit as they make a great on-the-go activity. Just punch a hole in one of the upper corners (after laminating them) and string them together on a book ring. Have your little one help you with the hole punch and you’ve added a little bit of fine motor practice to the set as well.
