The best thing about being young, it seems, are the endless possibilities.
From the time you wake up in the morning to the minute you close your eyes to sleep, each and every day is a brand new adventure. At least, that’s what it looks like for my my little ones.
At just 4 and 2, they both seem to have such a determination as they start each day. Both ready and willing to see what the day has to offer and to create their own excitement if it’s not up to their standards.
That could wind up looking like a day of dress up, pretending to be their favorite characters.
Apparently, all you need for a truly great day as a 2 year old, is a fantastic set of Minnie Mouse ears. You wouldn’t believe the games and stories that can come from a single item.
Or maybe, they’re heading out on a new adventure; finding new treasures and gaining super strength to protect the world that is their home.
At any given time, you’ll find them building forts out of blankets, creating cities full of block towers, or exploring the backyard. No matter how much time they’ve spent back there, there is still always something new to find.
In many ways, these two little people are so incredibly different, each with their own ideas and strengths; but in many others, they’re quite alike.
They both have big dreams and enough imagination for 10. Without toys or TV, they can come up with a game, all their own, that will entertain them both for hours.
They love fiercely and always have each other’s backs.
They’ll never want for friendship, and as their mom, I couldn’t ask for anything more.
Each day I’ll guide them and teach them, but more importantly, make sure they have what they need to fulfill their dreams.
Imaginations like theirs take a lot of energy and knowing that I have Nestle Nesquik and the 7 essential vitamins and minerals it provides to help them fuel up for the day, means less worry on my part and more time spent searching for pirate treasure in the backyard.
It’s been around for generations, I remember it from my own childhood, but we’ve taken it way past chocolate milk.
As we learned this weekend, when you’re 4, there is nothing cooler than getting to make your very own breakfast in a cup. It’s even better when that breakfast muffin that you just made is full of rich chocolate flavor!
To make your own chocolate breakfast muffin in a mug, you’ll need:
- 2 Tbsp. self-rising flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. Nesquik chocolate powder
- Your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chips, raspberries, strawberries, etc.
Have your little add everything but the mix-ins to their microwave safe cup and give it all a good stir.
If you’re adding chocolate chips, add those last and then pop your mug into the microwave for 1-2 minutes (no longer than 2).
Watch it puff up into a light and delicious chocolate muffin, but be careful when you remove it from the microwave as it will be hot!
Finally, add some fruit and dig in!
The kids are going to love it and with the nutrition that the Nesquik adds, moms can feel good about it too!
